Acquisition of general information

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar. This is exclusively information which does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the contents of websites requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us in order to optimize our Internet presence and the technology behind it.

Registration on our website

When registering to use our personalised services, some personal data is collected, such as name, address, contact and communication data such as telephone number and e-mail address. If you are registered with us, you can access content and services that we only offer to registered users. Registered users also have the option of changing or deleting the data provided during registration at any time if necessary. Of course, we will also provide you with information about the personal data we have stored about you at any time. We will also be pleased to correct or delete this data at your request, provided that there are no legal obligations to retain it. To contact us in this context, please use the contact data given at the end of this data protection declaration.

Provision of chargeable services

In order to provide services that are subject to a charge, we ask for additional data, such as payment details.

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Comment function

If users leave comments in the blog, the time of their creation and the user name previously chosen by the website visitor are stored in addition to this information. This is for our security, as we can be prosecuted for illegal content on our website, even if it was created by users.

Contact form

If you contact us by e-mail or contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions.

Deletion or blocking of data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as required by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose has ceased to apply or these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Use of Google Remarketing

This website uses the remarketing feature of Google Inc. to present interest-based advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. A so-called “cookie” is stored in the visitor’s browser, which makes it possible to recognize the visitor when he or she visits websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, the visitor may be presented with advertisements relating to content that the visitor has previously viewed on websites that use Google’s remarketing function.
According to its own statements, Google does not collect any personal data during this process. If you still do not wish to use Google’s remarketing function, you can deactivate it by making the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

social plugins

On our websites we use social plugins from the providers listed below. You can recognize the plugins by the fact that they are marked with the corresponding logo.

Under certain circumstances, information, which may include personal data, is sent to the service provider via these plugins and may be used by them. We prevent the unconscious and unintentional collection and transmission of data to the service provider by a 2-click solution. To activate a desired social plugin, it must first be activated by clicking on the corresponding button. Only when the plugin is activated is the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider triggered. We ourselves do not collect any personal data via the social plugins or their use.

We have no influence on what data an activated plugin collects and how it is used by the provider. At present, it must be assumed that a direct connection to the provider’s services is established and that at least the IP address and device-related information is collected and used. It is also possible that the service provider will attempt to store cookies on the computer used. Please refer to the data protection information of the respective service provider to find out which specific data is collected and how it is used. Note: If you are logged into Facebook at the same time, Facebook can identify you as a visitor to a particular page.

We have integrated the social media buttons of the following companies on our website:
Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave – Palo Alto – CA 94304 – USA)
Google Plus/Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway – Mountain View – CA 94043 – USA)
Whatsapp

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred to your hard drive from a website server. Through this we automatically receive certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system about your computer and your connection to the Internet.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. With the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and enable the correct display of our websites.

Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

Of course you can of course also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via the settings of your browser. Please use the help functions of your Internet browser to find out how to change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you do not accept cookies.

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad served by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not personally identifiable. If the user visits certain pages on our site and the cookie hasn’t expired, we and Google can tell that the user clicked the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. As a result, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected through the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for those advertisers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse to accept the cookie that is required for this purpose – for example, by changing your browser settings to disable automatic cookie placement or to set your browser to block cookies from the “googleleadservices.com” domain.

Please note that you may not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not wish to record measurement data. If you have deleted all your cookies in your browser, you have to set the respective opt-out cookie again.

Your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection

You have the right to receive information about your personal data stored with us at any time. You also have the right to correction, blocking or, apart from the prescribed data storage for business purposes, deletion of your personal data. Please contact our data protection officer for this purpose. You will find the contact details at the bottom.

In order that a block of data can be considered at any time, this data must be kept in a block file for control purposes. You can also request the deletion of the data, as long as there is no legal archiving obligation. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data upon request.

You can make changes or withdraw your consent by notifying us accordingly with effect for the future.

Changes to our data protection regulations

We reserve the right to amend this data protection declaration from time to time so that it always meets current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. The new data protection declaration then applies to your next visit.
